The Chongahbdah Association was established with the vision of bringing together all sons and daughters of Chongahbdah origin, fostering unity, preserving our rich cultural heritage, and promoting the socio-economic development of our people.

Located in the heart of Taraba State, our association serves as a beacon of hope and progress for the Chongahbdah community, providing a platform for collaboration, cultural preservation, and mutual support.

Since our founding, we have grown into a vibrant community dedicated to empowering our members and celebrating our unique identity.

Our Journey

Key milestones from 2021 to 2026

2021

Foundation Laid

Chongahbdah Association was formally established by a group of visionary leaders committed to uniting the Chongahbda people. The first general meeting held in Jalingo, Taraba State.

2022

First Cultural Festival

Organized the inaugural Chongahbda Cultural Festival, attracting hundreds of participants and showcasing traditional music, dance, and cuisine.

2023

Education Scholarship Program

Launched a scholarship fund to support bright but underprivileged Chongahbda students. 20 students received full tuition support.

2024

Community Development Projects

Initiated several community projects including a borehole in Chongahbda village and a skills acquisition center for youth.

2025

Expansion and Partnerships

Established partnerships with local government and NGOs to amplify our impact. Membership grew to over 500 active members.

2026

Looking Ahead

Plans to launch a digital platform connecting all Chongahbda diaspora and organize the first international cultural exchange program.
